A political subdivision of the State of Ohio focusing on conservation with offices located at the Trumbull County Agriculture and Family Education Center.
In the late 1940's over 70 % of the voters approved a referendum to establish a SWCD. The SWCD receives funding from the county commissioners, townships, and municipalities with the State of Ohio matching the local funds. The US Department of Agriculture's Natural Resources Conservation Service and the Ohio Department of Agriculture provide additional assistance.
