I want to thank all those who helped at the Fair this year, everyone did an OUTSTANDING job as there were no accidents or injuries. We were complimented on our performance and the Fair Board was extremely grateful we were there. A special thanks to Bob and Sue Gilman for contacting and arranging the roster. I want to thank the following people for their help yesterday at the 4th of July event at McCurdy park.Barry Marks, Craig Brand,Dave Roberts, Bob and Sue Gilman,Jonathan Perkins,Drew and Linda Thorsby,Jim and Mary Hartner, Kathryn Barrel and Priscilla Gaskins. We dealt with an extreme amount of traffic and everyone did an OUTSTANDING job. I am extremely proud of everyone's performance. The season for traffic is upon us! As we travel this weekend to spend time with those family members who have served, and honoring those who lost their lives serving..remember to pack a car 'to go kit' that includes water, flashlight, blankets, non perishable food items, and a first aid kit!! Still unknown how severe the storms headed our way will be. The key thing the NWS is looking for is if we get any sunshine towards Indiana. That will cause more instability which would give us more severe storms. So here's hoping Indiana doesn't get much sun!

Our local MOPs group will have a CERT volunteer/trainer (who is also a MOPS/Moms Next member) in to guide you through creating a to go kit, and items/information you will need to become better prepared! The date is October 10th 6-8:30 pm at the Weslyan Church on S. Washington St in Owosso.
