Happy Friday #BeaverNation! Today we will be recognizing the Society for Women Engineers (SWE) and there partnership with Beaver Hangouts.
Their lesson plans are different because they have a more specific, STEM-based focus than the traditional college readiness lessons. Their goals are to get students interested in STEM, either by helping them find a field that they love or just opening it up as a future option. SWE tells us that, "a lot of students don't think they have the ability to be in a STEM field and we want to help them understand that they do!"
Their favorite part of Beaver Hangouts is being able to help get students interested in fields they haven't even heard of, it's really fun to teach people about something they hadn't even heard of.
We love having you all in #BeaverHangouts! Keep up the great work SWE!
