Community Update: Benton County was recently notified there were concerns with paint stripes that were sealed over on Alpine Cutoff Road, near the City of Monroe, Oregon.

A new striping crew was formed this year. A typical training procedure for a new striping crew is to have them “practice” on a road that is already scheduled for a surface treatment.

Alpine Cutoff Road was selected for training purposes since it is not a long segment of roadway and was scheduled for a fog seal. The new crew's striping training occurred prior to the scheduled surface treatment.
