Benton County Foster or Adoption

Benton County Foster or Adoption We are a diverse team, united in our compassion and motivation to seek out and support safe and nurturing families who can best serve OUR children.

DHS, Child Welfare is in need of a loving home that will help support a 15 year old girl transition back to her parents. She has been going through a challenging phase in her life. Starting with running away, dropping out of high school, and ultimately ending up in a girls group home. She is set to be discharged on July 15, 2015.

Prior to returning back home, the child needs to be set up with a family counselor in the local Linn and Benton County area. The family can then start working on healing the wounds and setting clear expectations. The hope is that within 3 to 6 months she will return back to her parents.

This child needs a foster family who is willing to support this child, while maintaining clear expectations. She is great with younger children and also does fine with peer relations.

Foster children are society’s most vulnerable members. There are many other children who are also in need of placement. Become a foster parent today and help DHS keep siblings together. A friendly foster parent certifier wants to hear from you.

Foundation Training is being offered this coming Tuesday. If you have ever thought about becoming a foster parent, you should sign up for this training. This will give you the opportunity to learn more about what it means to be a foster parent, and if it is the right fit for you and your family. All certified foster parents are required to take Foundations Training. The training series starts at 6pm this Tuesday. Call 541-791-5772 to register or find out when the next Foundation Training is being offered.

I am in need for a home that is willing to get certified to care for two foster girls (10 and 13yrs old). They have already been separated from their siblings and now are going to need to change placements and possibly schools. We are in great need for foster homes in Benton County. The attached video was not supported or created by our agency. I do think it gives a glimpse into the struggles our foster children face and the reason why we need more foster parents. If you would like to become a foster parent please contact Randy Heiken at 541-757-4121x230. Please "Like" my page so that you can become aware of when a home is needed in Benton County. Please help me support our society's most vulnerable members.

I am in need of a foster home for a sibling group of 6 (3yr old boy, 4yr old boy, 5yr old boy, 6yr old boy, 10yr old girl, and 13 yr old girl). At some point I would love to have a family who can take all 6 kids, but at this time I will likely have to place them with multiple families. I current don't have enough foster families and have contacted other counties for assistance. Please share this post, and please like my page so that you are aware the next time Foster Kids are in need. I am looking for Benton County foster homes. Please contact me if you can help in anyway, and either way, please share this post with your friends and family.Thank You Randy Heiken 541-757-4121 x230.

Benton County has a shortage of foster homes. This shortage is being fought on two fronts. Recruitment and Retention. We need to find new homes and then support and keep the ones we currently have. Some of you may say that you can't be foster parents, but have you asked yourself if there is other ways you can help out? Many of our foster parents both work and so transporting foster kids to parental visits at the office can be a challenge. DHS is looking for volunteer (there is a small financial reimbursement) drivers. Volunteer Drivers help transport children to their visits. If you think you can help please contact Randy Heiken at 541-757-4121 x230. Please share and like this posting. Supporting our foster parents supports our foster children.

I need your help. I have a healthy newborn baby I need to find a home for. In the years I have been doing foster care certification I have never been this short of foster homes. In the past we had an abundance of foster homes in Benton County with the availability to take a newborn and now we have none. If you are reading this post, please "like" and "share". If you have any questions about becoming a foster parent call Randy Heiken at 541-757-4121 x230.

Thank you guys for all your "likes" and helping me share these post. I am reaching out again to find help. I have a 6yr old boy who is diabetic and needs shots 4 times a day. I need someone who could care for him from June 22nd to June 29th. The current foster parents need respite care because they are going out of town. If you think you could do this (and have a clean criminal record and are knowledgeable on how to give diabetic shots), please contact me (Randy Heiken at 541-757-4121 x230). If you can't provide Respite care, please share this information with others. These Respite providers do not need to live local, but do need to live inside the state of Oregon.
