Today Bryan Uraga ships out to recruit training in order not only see if he has what it takes in order transform himself into a United States Marine! 🇺🇸 Uraga would come in and train ever Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at 0600 not because he had to. But because he wanted to! He is one of the hardest working young men I have ever had the pleasure of working with and I know that he will continue to strive for greatness!!

Yesterday my family celebrated the life of my grandfather, Russel Wade. I’m glad that these gentlemen could come out and perform the Marine Corps Funeral Honors Ceremony. He is now at peace with his wife Lou Wade. You will be missed Gramps!

U.S. Marine Sgt. Fernando Mata and Lance Cpl. Michael Grossman, both UH-1Y Venom helicopter crew chiefs with Marine Light Attack Helicopter Squadron 169, Marine Aircraft Group 39, 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing, break down a water carrier after conducting a firefighting training exercise on Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton, California, Sept. 10, 2020. Marines with HMLA-169 and HMLA-267 provided support to California’s Department of Forestry and Fire Protection’ firefighting efforts against the Valley Fire in East San Diego County, Sept. 7-9. The Marines are committed to supporting the local community, and conducted the training to gain additional proficiency in aerial firefighting techniques in the event they are called to assist again.
