This Pride Month, take some time to explore your creativity, heal, and relax at PCPL's Pride Month Subconscious Art Meditation!

Friday, June 26, 2026
10:30AM – 12:00PM
Flowing Wells Library

Q***r artist Thalo Blue (they/them) will lead participants through a Subconscious Art Exploration Workshop based on an art therapy practice called “Open Studio Practice" (OSP). OSP was originally developed by a group of art therapists in the 90's for therapy groups and art classes. Thalo’s “Subconscious Art Exploration” workshop draws from OSP while incorporating more meditative and discussion-focused elements. The goal of this practice is to help participants enter the flow state and practice unrestricted creativity in a calm, safe environment.

During Subconscious Art Exploration, participants will be guided through grounding exercises, intention-setting, free flow art-making with provided materials, a reflection writing exercise, and finally a sharing and debrief where participants will be led through a low-pressure discussion where everyone is empowered to share as much or as little as they would like. In this session, participants will explore the topics of q***r identity, expression, and discovery.

15 spots available, participation will be on a first-come, first-serve basis.

This event is sponsored by the Pride Committee to celebrate Pride Month.
