Spotted Fawn Farm

Spotted Fawn Farm

Spotted Fawn Farm is sad to announce the first of our babies has arrived. We're sad because this another baby needlessly kidnapped from its mother because a well meaning human found him alone. Once again, deer mothers leave their babies ALL DAY. They check in on them but leave them in places people find wrong, like under cars, trampolines, porches or backyards. Sometimes they're near a road. If you find a fawn and it is not walking and crying (at the same time), it's FINE. If it is on a road, move it to the side and the mom will find it. Never ever feed a fawn or any animal cow's milk. If you find an injured fawn call a licensed rehabber by locating the closest one to you on the DNR website. Please share so everyone will understand.
That said, what a lil' sweetie.

Blocks do so many wonderful things to enhance yoga poses, including elevating, supporting, stabilizing, or providing an extra bit of stretch. This week we'll work our way through seated, standing and supine poses, all with the help of a block or two. Even though we already use props quite a bit in class, you may be surprised at just how many poses become something new with the addition of a block.

Classes Monday and Friday, 10 a.m. See goodbalanceyoga.com for details.

The Patient Registrar for the Specialty and Primary Care Clinics (SPCC) is responsible for the daily operations of the front office including reception, scheduling and patient registration. This role may be required to provide back up to the HIM Technician as needed to provide optimal clinical flow and is key to the internal and external communications of the clinic. One year of front office experience in an outpatient clinical setting is required. In this fast paced environment, the ability to organize, plan and prioritize is essential for a successful patient and office flow. The Patient Registrar is the first impression position in the outpatient clinical office setting which requires this person to demonstrate professional behavior, display appropriate conduct and show consideration, respect and patience toward all patients, visitors and staff at all times.

Whidbey Animals' Improvement Foundation (WAIF)

It’s that time of year again, Spring!
WAIF is reviewing our grounds and determining the best way to move forward with re-seeding the large dog play yard at our main shelter in Coupeville.
WAIF was fortunate enough to receive dirt and seed donations and have decided to get a jump on this large-scale yard project during a notoriously wet April.
WAIF is seeking volunteers to assist on Friday, April 20th. If you are able to help by participating or by helping to recruit a group of people to join us, it would be very much appreciated! The project will entail helping to spread out the dirt and reseed so anyone with an extra shovel and wheelbarrow is encouraged to bring them. This is a PERFECT opportunity for a group to get their volunteer hours on!!

Please let me know if you are able to attend and/or organize a group to help and we can provide more details!

A posting on another group I thought some of you may be interested in: In case you didn't get the email from Seattle Times, they are looking for families who have fought against their district to get appropriate diagnoses, tests, and services for their children. Several of you had specific examples of this happening with your own child, or knew of other parents who had that experience. As well, if you had to sue to get services, or you had a good experience when seeking services, we’re interested in that, too. At this point, it's only in the fact-finding stages and nothing you say will be in a story (you are anonymous sources). If you’re willing to share your experience, please answer these questions: 1. The name of your school district and school. 2. Your child’s age, diagnosis, and the services you were seeking. 3. A brief description of what happened when you sought those services. 4. How the issue has been resolved, or if not, where you are in the process. 5. Let me know if you would be willing to speak on the record at a later date, and share any correspondence or paperwork you have. Deadline: Friday March 8 Send responses to: [email protected] DEADLINE IS MARCH 8TH!

Wow! A Coupeville merchant tried to chase me out of "his" parking space early this morning. Most merchants work to keep employees out of waterfront parking spaces so they can be used by customers. But one feels entitled to occupy a prime space all day.
When is the town Halloween parade this year?
Can anyone answer this sales tax question for me? If I buy something in OH or via Amazon, I know that Island County gets the sales tax. But do I understand correctly that delivery to Coupeville means that Coupeville gets the municipal share?
One of the amazing artists from Whidbey Island Rocks (Linnane Armstrong) painted this wonderful rock!! Judging from this photo of the Coupeville Wharf, she nailed it!!
Here's just a typical day in Coupeville...amazing Tall Ships cruising Admiralty Inlet ;)
