Dear Parents, Guardians, and Stakeholders,
Over the last few months, there have been many thoughtful and thorough conversations between the preschool teachers, the administration, and school board members regarding the state of the current preschool format. During the school board meeting on March 16, the preschool teachers created and presented challenges to the format and proposed changes for the 2026-2027 school year. Congratulations to CHS senior Olliver Davis on adding his name to the Football Record Board! Olliver set the Individual Career Receiving Record with 1,506 yards from 2022–2025. An outstanding accomplishment and a great addition to the Haymaker Football record board.

Thank you to everyone who participated in the Cozad High School Blood Drive on March 16! We had 36 donors step up, collecting 30 units of blood and potentially saving up to 90 lives. We also had 5 first-time donors—thank you for making a difference!

A special shoutout to Eric Ide on reaching 2 gallons donated and Melanie Nutt on an incredible milestone of 15 gallons donated. Your continued generosity is truly making an impact. We appreciate all who donated, volunteered, and supported this important effort.

Revitalize & Thrive is excited to host a FREE Indoor Mini-Golf Tournament for our middle school and high school students! This is a great chance for students to get out, have fun, connect with friends, and be part of something positive in our community.
This Friday!!
Location: The Barn at Cozad High School
Middle School Students: 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM
High School Students: 8:30 PM – 10:30 PM
There will be food, prizes, friendly competition, and lots of fun!

The CHS Cross Country Record Board has been updated! Sophomore Audrey Baker and senior Koang Deng have both added their names to the State Qualifier list. Koang also improved his record and is now tied with Carson Davis for the 2nd fastest time in school history. Congratulations to these Haymakers!

We are excited to see everyone this week! Due to the 10th grade college visit on Tuesday and the spring musical practices we added a practice Friday morning from 6:30 AM to 7:30 AM and changed Thursday’s evening practice to a 6:30 AM practice. We will remind you of these changes at practice tomorrow night!!

Don’t forget to get your forms turned into the high school or middle school office!

Congratulations to CHS senior Camryn Yilk on receiving the Believers and Achievers Award yesterday during the Boys Class A State Basketball Championship Final.

This recognition celebrates students across Nebraska who excel in academics, athletics, and leadership. We are proud of Camryn and the way she represents CHS and the Haymaker community.
