Title: The Little Black Book
Author: James Patterson & David Ellis
Plot: Meet Billy Harney. The son of Chicago's chief of detectives, he was born to be a cop. There's nothing he wouldn't sacrifice for his job. Enter Amy Lentini, an assistant state's attorney hell-bent on making a name for herself - by proving Billy isn't the cop he claims to be.
Review: James Patterson is probably one of my favorite authors. He really outdid himself with this novel. There is a lot of back forth between past and present so you have to make sure that you are paying attention and don't blink too long (LOL). This really goes in depth of being a dirty cop, how they've become dirty cops, and who actually is a dirty cop. There are a lot of twists and turns between all of the main characters in the book. Just when you think you have figured one thing out.....BOOM you are hit with something else. This book is a very easy and quick read, which I highly recommend everyone take the time to read!
I give this book a 9/10....and I would read it all over again!
A horrifying murder leads investigators to a brothel that caters to Chicago's most powerful citizens. There's pleny of evidence on the scene, but what matters most is what's missing: the madam's black book.
