NOW HIRING OFFICE MANAGER – FULL-TIME
North Crawford County Ambulance District is accepting applications for a full-time Office Manager. This position is responsible for the day-to-day operation of the District business office and serves as an executive assistant to the Chief and Board of Directors.
Starting Salary: $52,000 annually, commensurate with experience
Position Summary
The Office Manager plays a key role in the administrative and financial operations of the District. Primary responsibilities include:
• Accounting and financial recordkeeping
• Accounts payable and receivable
• Payroll assistance and bank reconciliations
• Preparation of monthly financial and administrative reports
• Assisting with development and administration of the annual budget
• Employee benefits and human resources administration
• Insurance, billing, and regulatory compliance
• Maintaining District records and files
• Preparing Board of Directors financial reports
• Assisting with annual audits and providing documentation to the District accountant
• Working with billing resources regarding patient accounts and insurance claims
• Providing administrative support to the Chief and Board of Directors
• Communicating professionally with employees, patients, vendors, insurance companies, public agencies, and members of the community
• Any other duties as assigned by the Board of Directors
The successful candidate must be able to work independently, maintain strict confidentiality and HIPAA compliance, manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and maintain accurate financial and administrative records.
Minimum Qualifications
• High school diploma or GED
• Minimum of two years of related experience and/or training
• Proficiency with QuickBooks, Microsoft Office and general computer applications
• Strong organizational, communication, and mathematical skills
• Ability to work professionally with employees, public agencies, vendors, patients, and the general public
• Valid Missouri driver's license
• Must meet bondable qualifications
Preferred Qualifications
• Accounting, bookkeeping, payroll, or financial management experience
• Experience with accounting and payroll software
• Human resources and employee benefits experience
• Missouri Notary Public commission (preferred but not required)
• Experience working with governmental, public-sector, healthcare, or EMS organizations
This position requires a high degree of professionalism, accuracy, discretion, confidentiality, and the ability to perform duties with minimal supervision. Financial responsibilities are performed using appropriate segregation of duties and internal controls.
