Last spring, 40 Culpeper Technical Education Center (CTEC) electrical students got an inside look at the data center industry through a two-day, hands-on experience with DataBank!

From exploring the technology behind data centers to learning about career opportunities right here in our community, it was a valuable opportunity for students to connect classroom learning with real-world careers.

And the experience didn’t end there! This summer, four of the participating students went on to complete summer internships with PJS, the electrical contractor on the project, putting their skills to work and gaining even more valuable industry experience.

Tonight, the Culpeper County School Board proudly recognized Cailin Rendell, Eastern View High School Class of 2026 graduate, for an exceptional senior softball season that earned her 2026 VHSL Class 4 All-State First Team honors as a pitcher and the prestigious title of Class 4 State Softball Player of the Year!

Cailin’s achievement also made school history as she is the first Eastern View student-athlete in any sport to be named a State Player of the Year!

Congratulations, Cailin, on an incredible accomplishment, and a remarkable EVHS softball career! 🥎🌪️

Tonight, the Culpeper County School Board proudly recognized Tyrus Nobbs, a 2026 graduate of Culpeper County High School, for being named to the 2026 VHSL Class 3 All-State Baseball Second Team at second base.

This impressive honor capped off his senior season and recognizes his outstanding performance on the diamond for the Blue Devils.

Congratulations on an outstanding achievement and a terrific high school baseball career! 👏⚾
