Everything costs more in Governor Hochul’s New York, and rising gas prices are worsening the affordability crisis for hardworking families, commuters, farmers, and small businesses. That’s why my Senate Republican colleagues and I are calling on the Governor to immediately suspend the state gas and diesel taxes to provide direct relief at the pump. New Yorkers received this relief in 2022 when gas prices hit record highs, and taxpayers deserve that same relief again today instead of more excuses from Albany Democrats.
