Otwell is excited to welcome Jay! Jay has been part of the Otwell family for over 7 years and brings a passion for both Science and Social Studies to the classroom. Jay earned a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry, and a Master's in Computer Application.
Outside of school, Jay enjoys gardening and especially loves growing peonies, which are a favorite flower. Jay also enjoys spending time with family and reading. We are grateful to have Jay as part of the Bulldog community!

Otwell Middle School is excited to welcome Jay Gardiner. Originally from Mobile, Alabama, he holds a BA, MEd, and Adaptive PE certification and has experience as a teacher, coach, and administrator. Jay is passionate about supporting deaf and hard of hearing students, inspired by his own family connections. He enjoys reading historical biographies, especially about World War II, and values the guidance of his late father and his wife, Cindy. We are excited to have him as part of the Bulldog family!

Otwell is excited to welcome back Thaide Huichapa! Thaide moved to Georgia at the age of 8 and grew up right here in Forsyth County.
This is her second year at Otwell Middle School, and she is excited to continue serving the Bulldog community as a Specialized Instruction Teacher! Thaide earned both her B.S. and M.S. in Software Engineering and brings a strong passion for technology, teamwork, and student growth.
She is excited to continue working with the Otwell community and is looking forward to another great year filled with learning, collaboration, and fun. Welcome back to OMS, Thaide!

Today the FoCAL Center brought the excitement to Otwell Middle School surprising teacher Alex Duque with a FoCAL Grant to enhance their fine arts program with new sound equipment! 🎤🎶✨
Otwell Middle School is one of six FCS schools selected this year, recognizing creative and impactful ideas that strengthen arts education across the district. Congratulations to Alex Duque and Otwell Middle School!

Last night, the FoCAL Center was honored to host Otwell Middle School's Honors Night as we celebrated an incredible group of students and their outstanding accomplishments! 🌟👏
