OVERVIEW
Meals by Grace (MbG) is a Christian Ministry serving families since January of 2011. Vetted through county social workers for food insecurity, MbG is a unique community driven organization delivering meals to individual homes. MbG utilizes multiple sources of food
in addition to the Feeding America network through both the Georgia Mountain and Atlanta Community Food Banks. MbG operates 6 of every 7 days per week including a weekly service/delivery day and two community pantry days. SERVICES
Weekly hot meal delivery
Weekly shelf stable food delivery
Monthly distribution of toiletries and laundry detergent
School break bags of shelf stable food (breakfasts, lunches, healthy snacks)
Shelf stable food bags positioned for immediate access in local schools
Extended summer feeding program for non-program children
Community food pantry
Senior Support
VOLUNTEERISM
Volunteers form teams to deliver services to the community. In addition to a large, stable base of individual community volunteers and families, we utilize a vast community of groups including, but not limited to:
Flood Student Missions
High School clubs (NHS, BETA, DECA)
Local sports teams
Scouting groups (boy & girl)
Mountain Lake church life groups
Community HOA groups
Browns Bridge & North Point Community Church (adult small groups, Transit & Insideout groups) Local college graduate groups: Kennesaw, University of North Georgia, Philadelphia School of Osteopathic Medicine, etc. Numerous other churches and civic groups
