On Sunday, April 24th, we will be having a virtual trivia night event for Sunny View Senior Center! The event will be from 2-3 pm PST.

Hello everyone! We are hosting an online discussion group with residents at Sunny View Retirement Community and would love for you to join us.

Volunteers can get one hour of community service for attending this event!

Discussion topics include low-vision topics, current events, health/wellness, and more. It will take place on March 27th at 2pm pst. Please fill out this google form in our bio if you want to attend and we will send you the zoom link.

We hosted a group discussion with Sunny View Retirement Community residents! We talked about the Olympics, COVID, and Valentine’s Day. We had a great time talking and learning new information, and we can’t wait for the next event. Keep an eye out for more information on future plans 😄

Hi everyone!

Say Smile is a volunteer program working with seniors and senior centers impacted by the pandemic. We make cards, masks, host events, conduct fundraisers, do calls, send emails, and play games with and for the residents at these senior homes. We hope to combat the isolation they face in these situations. With the omicron strain making an impact and Covid once again on the rise, we are looking for more volunteers to take part in helping our community by brightening someone’s day. Happy holidays! With COVID-19 and the new variant making an immense impact, senior citizens are devastated.

Those in senior centers and homes lost contact with their families and each other during quarantine, leading to isolation and a negative emotional toll.

We want to do our part to help the senior community by raising money for devices and technology for senior centers to continue their essential therapies and communications for their mental and physical well being.

In collaboration with the 501c3 nonprofit Home Of Hope Inc, we are raising money for low income senior centers and all your generous donations will be tax exempt.

Hi everyone! We recently had a very fun Jeopardy game call with Veterans Memorial Senior Center where volunteers got to compete against each other and senior citizens! Thank you so much to everyone who joined and we hope you had some fun :) In addition to that, Say Smile is collaborating with more senior retirement centers to organize virtual and in-person events! Are you interested in getting community service hours for writing blogs/articles? If so then reach out to us right now! These articles and statutes that will ultimately be featured in a newsletters sent out to senior citizens across the Bay Area. Remember: Written work can be about any topic that senior citizens would be interested in! Such topics include DIY's, workout plans, etc!

Hi everyone! We are so excited to share that our Charity Paint Night was a huge success! We raised almost 2000 dollars for low-income senior centers across the country. Thank you so much to everyone who came and supported this cause. Stay tuned for more events coming soon!

With COVID-19 making an immense impact, senior citizens are devastated. Those in senior centers and homes lost contact with their families and each other during quarantine, leading to isolation and a negative emotional toll, activities were canceled, and senior centers struggled. We want to do our part to help the senior community by raising money for devices and technology, such as chrome books and smart robots, for senior centers to raise the mental and physical wellbeing of our seniors.

Say Smile is hosting a Paint Night Fundraiser at Sunny View Retirement Community: (22445 Cupertino Rd, Cupertino, CA 95014) on July 29th from 6-8 pm PST. Sheetal Seth, a professional artist, will lead the paint night, and we will provide supplies for everyone who signs up to create an acrylic canvas painting. The cost per person to sign up is $25, but we encourage you to donate more as all proceeds go to low-income senior centers and homes.
