Congratulations to all the public safety professionals who completed the six (6) day Public Safety Leadership Development Course!

Your dedication to personal and professional growth strengthens Indiana’s public safety community. Over the six days, students participated in an engaging, discussion driven learning experience led by the Academy’s Leadership Development Instructor Cadre. This course is far more than lectures — it uses the Socratic method to immerse students in critical thinking, motivating dialogue, and passionate leadership development from start to finish.
Throughout the two weeks, students explored:

• Creative and inspiring leadership concepts
• Tools and methodologies to support effective decision making
• Communication and team building skills
• Leadership principles that enhance both professional service and personal life

A special thank you to Mark Keck and the Anderson Fire Department for being outstanding hosts. Your support helps create an atmosphere where leaders can grow, collaborate, and elevate one another.

Agencies represented in this cohort included:
• Anderson Fire Department (Madison County)
• Daleville–Salem Township Fire Territory (Delaware County)
• Noblesville Fire Department (Hamilton County)
• Eaton Volunteer Fire Department (Delaware County)
• Monticello Fire Department (White County)
• Office of School Safety - IDHS
• Office of State Fire Marshal – Code Enforcement

Labor Day is more than the unofficial end of summer. It is a time to recognize the hardworking men and women whose dedication, skill, and determination have helped build and strengthen our communities.

Every day, people across our community get up and go to work while serving others, building businesses, teaching our children, caring for our families, maintaining our infrastructure, protecting our neighborhoods, and helping make our community a better place to call home.

This Labor Day weekend, we encourage everyone to take some well-deserved time to relax, spend time with family and friends, and remember the generations of American workers whose contributions helped shape the country we know today.

Please celebrate responsibly, drive sober, buckle up, stay hydrated, practice fire and water safety, and look out for one another.

From all of us at the Daleville–Salem Township Fire Protection Territory, thank you to every hardworking person who helps keep our community moving forward.

But most of all, Thank You!
