Keep our Elders DANCING! We look forward to it being safe enough to gather for powwows/dances again.

You might know that The Senior Source has something big coming this year that involves dancing! But did you know that dancing is proven to be one of the most effective means of preventing dementia. Our suggestion - get those dancing shoes laced up and take a turn about your living room this week! It'll be good practice. 😉

02/26/2021

The Board of Trustees for the Urban Inter-Tribal Center of Texas would like to announce the resignation of long-time board member and former Board Chairman, Jimmy Stephens. A member of the Sac & Fox Nation, Jimmy served many years and over three terms on the Board and has decided to resign at the end of this current term, set to end as of the Annual Meeting, February 9, 2021. We are grateful for his active leadership as a thoughtful steward of our organization, and thank him for the dedication, time, and positive energy he has invested in our Community. Board service can be a stressful volunteer role, but he completed his duties with enthusiasm, kindness, and determination. A servant at heart, he has made a tremendous impact on UITCT and our Community, and his selflessness is truly appreciated.

While we will miss working with him as a board member, we look forward to staying in touch in the future. We thank him for his service and wish him all the best in the years to come.
