Every year I have the privilege of being the voice of Meet the Panther, but I’m reminded that I’m announcing much more than names, but also the future.

Some of these kids I’m coaching now. Some I’ve coached before. Some I coached as kids are now coaches themselves. Even my own daughter is now teaching and coaching.

Those full circle moments remind me just how special Princeton is! It’s always a great time when the community ones together.

Great night. Great community. And if you missed it, you missed a GOOD one!

At last night's City Council meeting, the Council recognized the winners of the Princeton Lois Nelson Public Library Read Together - Play Together Summer Reading Program and its generous donors. From June 1 to July 31, 279 participants logged an incredible 3,524 hours of reading across five age categories!

Dr. Lovelace from Princeton Family Dental and Robert Medigovich from Community Waste Disposal generously supported the program and provided the winners' prizes.

Statement Regarding August 14 Warrant Service in Princeton

On Friday, August 14, 2026, Collin County Sheriff’s deputies served a felony arrest warrant for Sexual Assault of a Child in Princeton at the request of the Princeton Police Department.

Prior to serving the warrant, deputies conducted surveillance of the residence and surrounding area for approximately 30 to 40 minutes. During that time, deputies observed a small white dog loose and running in the neighborhood. The dog belonged to a neighboring residence and was observed prior to deputies approaching or entering the house where the warrant was served.

During the surveillance, deputies observed individuals searching for the dog and provided them with the direction in which deputies had last seen the dog running.

Deputies then served the warrant and took Issac Harris into custody on the warrant above. During the arrest, Trevon Harrison was also arrested for Interference with Public Duties after attempting to interfere with deputies as Harris was taken into custody.

The Sheriff’s Office later learned, through social media reports, that the dog they had seen in the neighborhood had been struck and killed by a vehicle.

We understand that the loss of a precious family pet is traumatic and very difficult. We wish to convey our condolences to the dog’s owner and family over the loss of their little companion.

📣 IT’S OFFICIAL! 📣 I’M RUNNING FOR RE-ELECTION!

After much thought, prayer, and conversations with my family, I’ve made the decision to seek another term on the Princeton ISD Board of Trustees (2026–2029). Serving this community has been one of the greatest honors of my life. I’ve learned a lot these past 5 years, worked to listen more, ask tough questions, advocate better for students and staff, and lead with transparency and accountability, and yes, there is still more work to do! 📚

I’m running again because I believe in Princeton ISD, our students, and our educators, and I believe our community deserves leadership that continues to show up, listen, and push for better.

My commitment remains simple: Students first. Strong and safe schools. Responsible stewardship. Transparent leadership.

My signs will be available soon, but I’m officially asking for your support! 🙌🏾 I would be honored to earn your vote this November.
