Friends of LLELA was excited to welcome Girl Scouts Savannah and Ryker at the Cicada Pavilion Pollinator Garden yesterday for the installation of their butterfly puddlers. These puddlers supply butterflies with essential nutrients and safe access to water.

The puddlers were just one aspect of the girls' "Bee the Change" project to earn their Silver Awards. They also helped seed the garden last spring and created brochures to be distributed in the LLELA Lewisville Lake Visitor Center.

The Pollinator Garden is currently being restored by Natural Pathways students with funding support from Trinity Forks Chapter - Native Plant Society of Texas. With the drought taking its toll on the garden, these puddlers add a bright spot of color until our native plants start blooming again!

Friends of LLELA congratulates these girls for their advocacy and service!

Today is North Texas Giving Day!

Help restore a LLELA favorite: the Beaver Pond Viewing Blind

This North Texas Giving Day, please consider helping the Friends of LLELA restore the Beaver Pond viewing blind along the Cottonwood Trail!

After nearly 20 years, this beloved viewing blind is ready for some updates to keep it welcoming, safe, and enjoyable for visitors.
From this special spot, visitors can slow down, take in the scenery, and search the pond for waterfowl and other critters that call this special place home.

Your donation will help breathe new life into this favorite wildlife viewing destination and ensure it can be enjoyed for years to come.

North Texas Giving Day is tomorrow! And thanks to the generosity of our supporters, we are 40% of the way to our goal of raising $2800 to restore the Beaver Pond Viewing Blind.

Located along the Cottonwood Trails, the viewing blind provides a place where visitors can slow down, take in the scenery, and search the pond for waterfowl and other critters that call this special place home. Your donation will help breathe new life into this favorite wildlife viewing destination and ensure it can be enjoyed for years to come.

Help us achieve this goal as a part of our mission to connect, serve, and advocate!
