After long deliberation I, Chase Reid, have decided to step down from the position of CEO. This experience has been one I will never forget. A multitude of factors have influenced my decision but those do not matter. What matters is that this virtual airline continues to exceed the preconceived notions attributed to it.
A new CEO hasn't been decided yet, all arrangements pertaining to staff will arrive in due time.

Thank you for everything. I appreciate the fond memories, the friendships formed, and the experienced gained.

Hello pilots,

We noticed an issue with pilots booking flights and not being able to view them. After confirming the flight, a message stating that the flight was not booked would appear. This was an issue with our automatic routing system. If a route could not be found for the flight, then this error was displayed.

We have resolved this issue. If there is no saved route for your flight, the system will allow you to input your own route. We apologize for any frustration and delays that this issue may have brought about and we thank you for your patience.

Hello pilots,

First of all, this is an APRIL FOOLS joke! We will not be changing our testing for new pilots or adding any testing for current pilots.

Us here at American Virtual are proud to say that we will no longer be hiring pilots in the same way that we have in the past. We have been getting too many ignorant pilots that ask us too many silly questions. As a result, we are introducing Ameritest.

Ameritest will be a system where all new pilots and current pilots will be required to meet proficiency in multiple areas. New pilots will be issued a test with 120 questions and 60 minutes to answer all of them. In order to combat potential cheating, we will not allow you to pause the test or stop and continue it at a later time. Any new pilots who fail the test will not be permitted to reapply for one calendar year.

Current pilots at American Virtual are lucky. We will be issuing a test to current pilots every month. it will contain only 60 questions and you will be given 60 minutes to answer all of them. If you fail the test, your account and all flights will be permanently deleted. Pilots will not be told what the testing is about, but it could range from aircraft specific questions to general aviation knowledge.

We take professionalism and knowledge very seriously here at American Virtual and are implementing this new policy in the hopes of improving the aforementioned qualities of all of our pilots. If you have any questions, please do not feel free to contact us. We are very busy and do not have time to answer any of your questions.

We had a successful weekend with over 100 flights flown! Our skies were lit up with 15 or more people both Saturday and Sunday and we achieved some significant milestones. We believe activity is yet another aspect that adds to our already elite experience. Onwards and upwards!
