What is “Proposition C”? Oak Cliff native and Coombes Creek supporter Jim Barnes posted a very insightful essay on our blog page.

Example of gabion solidification Proposition “C” on the May 4th City of Dallas Special Election asks voters to approve $52.1 million for “flood protection and storm drainage improvements”. Anyone who cares about preserving Coombes Creek as a naturalistic greenbelt through our neighborhood sh...

“Because, despite Dallas’ booster propaganda, it’s the little things—not the big things—that make cities great.” Peter Simek we will miss your voice at Dmagazine

This photo was taken as part of a camera trap study we are working on to learn more about how wildlife uses the urban landscape. Learn more here: https://urbanwildlifeinfo.org/

The landscape architect’s big idea was that Dallas could change the way it imagines itself and its future by restoring nature's place within the urban environment.

Here’s a great opportunity to learn more about Rogers Wildlife Rehabilitation Center, a nonprofit that rescues & rehabs injured, sick, & orphaned birds.

Kathy Rogers will be our very special Resource Room guest during our upcoming Before the S’mores event this Friday! Kathy runs Rogers Wildlife Rehabilitation Center, a nonprofit that rescues & rehabs injured, sick, & orphaned birds. She’ll be bringing one of her educational owls, so this event is going to be amazing! The event is approved for one hour of AT for North Texas Master Naturalists. Online registration is required:
