With heavy hearts, the Pensacola Warriors extend our condolences on the passing of Sean O’Rourke. We stand in solidarity with his family, friends, and the Pittsburgh Warriors during this difficult time.

With a heavy heart, we mourn the passing of Sean O’Rourke. Sean was a fierce competitor and an even better friend—on and off the ice. He proudly served in the U.S. Army and brought that same dedication, grit, and brotherhood to every shift. Sean played for the Pittsburgh Warriors, and our hearts are with the Warriors family during this incredibly difficult time. Fair winds and following seas, brother. 🕊️

Hey everyoneI just wanted to keep you guys updated.I haven't forgotten about this.It's not on the back burner.Well, not totally on the back burner.Have some family stuff.I'm dealing with stepdad, has stage four liver cancer.So i'm helping out a lot with that.The big thing is, i'm waiting on some paperwork for the nonprofit.Once I get that done, we can start maybe trying to get some fundraising done.And buy some ice time at the bay center.It won't be a great time, probably like ten in the morning.When everyone's working, but we should be able to get something.Then, we can talk about some other things.And get this thing going.Especially if they do that ice rink over in pace, it's only about ten minutes away from my house and maybe about another twenty five from the base center to pace.So it's not that far out of the way, but this is still deep.In my heart and I want to do it, and i've had quite a few people reach out and offer help the things that are going on right now...It's just a waiting game. I will keep you guys updated as soon as anything happens

What will I be asked? Questions about military service, Warrior Hockey team participation, mental health, and personal well-being.

Has anybody heard about this? (This is from chatgpt when asking about potential rinks in Pensacola)

There’s a proposal to convert the old Landmark Skate Center into a modern ice rink/hockey facility (at 1002 N. Navy Blvd). It’s still in the planning phase.

Hockey’s an amazing sport, no doubt about that. But the real reason for this program is to look out for each other. Every day, about 22 veterans take their own lives for various reasons. That number shouldn’t exist. This team gives us a way to show up, skate, talk, and remember we’re not alone. The game’s just the vehicle. The point is having each other’s backs.

Now, personally, this program has helped me more than I can explain. Being around the guys on the Dallas Stars Warriors (fka the Dallas Warriors), getting on the ice and forming those connections with my brothers and sisters in arms, it’s done a lot for me. And if you’re having a rough time or just need to talk, message me. I won’t pretend to have all the answers, in fact, I never know what to say... but I’ll listen. Sometimes that’s all we need.

Having been to a few warrior tournaments (Gateway Classic in StL, Hendy in Minnesota, LoneStar in Dallas) I can tell you that they are a lot of fun and you meet incredible people. To do that, we need at least one team. The 501(c)3 is already in the works. Im working on potential ice time.

We need some uniform suggestions (color schemes, logo...) and players. Search for the Pensacola Warriors Hockey Players. Let me know what questions you have.
