American Indian Heritage Day in Texas

Yep, This just happened / Works by Brian Larney of yahvlane

SPECIAL NOTICE; THIS IS A 7-STORY MEDIA

WALL. YOU CAN'T MISS IT BUT YOU MIGHT MISS THE SHOWING OF THIS BEAUTIFUL ART PIECE -- IT RUNS ONLY FOR ONE MINUTE AND 24 SECOND (LONGER THAN THE OTHER SHOWING ON THE ROTATION) -- AT 11:54am,
12:54 pm, and 6:24 pm everyday for the remainder of the month.

Very proud of the collaboration between American Indian Heritage Day in Texas and Inter-Tribal Council of AT&T Employees.

This visual honors our ancestors and brings awareness during the National Native American Heritage Month to celebrate in the month of November.

This modern piece gives light of the matrilineal protectors of healing sacred voices for cultural and traditional preservation to give medicine to heal from historical trauma of genocide against American Indians.

This is a generational dialogue teach from our past for our future generations. This becomes a civil rights educational racial equity and equality census for exploration of the truth in Native American Heritage Month. Looking at reaching the Dallas residents as well as the Tourists who come to visit the city and are directed to the AT&T Discovery District as one of the places to visit in Downtown Dallas.

The impression is that I want them to walk away knowing that AT&T has invested into the American Indian community, bringing awareness about the three important Census stats of American Indians nationally, and this is a national celebration and in November. So this is why we have title versions but keeps with the core of education during this month.

When it comes to roadblocks to voting, there are at least four unsettling parallels between the Jim Crow era and now. Four ways 'Jim Crow 2.0' is shaping this presidential election https://www.cnn.com/2020/11/01/us/voter-suppression-jim-crow-blake/index.html

Racist politicians and judges used everything from poll taxes to literacy tests to prevent African Americans from voting in the Jim Crow era. Some say Republicans are using similar tactics today.

As people, we have different opinions, experiences, perspectives, and values. It is those differences that drive us to stand up and rally for what we believe. But even when we don't agree on everything, can we at least agree that our DEMOCRACY MATTERS? Our Democracy is about unifying for the GREATER GOOD! It's okay; America affords us the liberties and rights to voice our different views. What's not okay is rhetoric that serves to distract us, divides us, turn us against one another, and encourages us to hurt our neighbor.

Our Democracy is at stake! What are you going to do about it? VOTE!!!
