More public investment in Vickery Midtown with the renovation and conversion of the Firehouse at Blackwell and Greenville Avenue to Vickery Community Court, opening planned for 2021 City of Dallas - City Hall
TBK Bank Plaza at Park and Fair Oaks in Vickery Midtown, is a collaborative initiative from The Better Block and Project Safe Neighborhood with support from @vickerymidtown. Prior to the Covid 19 Pandemic, the space was scheduled for many free activities and events for the community. Programs are being scheduled with a calendar forthcoming for this year, based on direction and guidelines from the CDC and Dallas County, with proper safety protocols and social distancing.
The Plaza is now a center of encouraging energy and education on COVID 19 prevention. Additionally, The Better Block has installed a friendly lending library of books to borrow, with special thanks to Half Price Books for their donation.
To support improvement in our community on maintenance and code compliance on property, we've launched Midtown Code Red 311 that enables the community to report issues where we can help by expertly submitting information to the City of Dallas on the community's behalf. We will help get information to City of Dallas to facilitate the process:
