Community Prosecution The mission of the Community Prosecution Section is to proactively improve public safety and the quality of life within the City of Dallas. Community Prosecution Section strives to proactively improve public safety and the quality of life within the City of Dallas by: (1) engaging the community to identify and solve nuisance-related problems, (2) seeking voluntary compliance from property owners who maintain substandard or hazardous properties or illegal land uses, (3) filing civil actions and criminal prosecution against non-compliant property owners, and (4) strategically collaborating with other city departments and local agencies to more effectively deploy city resources.

Southwest Community Prosecutor Katherine Bohnen, along with Code Inspector Brentnie Brown, adjudicated four cases in Court today. The cases produced $1,800 in fines and orders to cease operations that are in violation of Dallas City Code. The Defendant was a business on Cockrell Hill Road in Southwest Dallas.The business cannot conduct commerical amusement inside or operate gambling devices subject to the agreement. CP Dallas

City of Dallas Community Courts are implementing Restorative Justice in new ways!

The Northeast Community Court will officially open today, Monday, August 8th and host the first dockets at 9:00 a.m. & 1:00 p.m. at 9451 LBJ Freeway, Ste. 102 near the Catholic Charities offices.

The first Veterans Docket is also scheduled for today at South Oak Cliff Community Court, held from 4:00-6:00 p.m.

The regular South Oak Cliff Community Court Docket will also take place as usual today at 9:00 a.m. & 1:00 p.m.

This means we will hold three separate court dockets on Monday!
