ATTN!!
Slow your roll guys and stop being in such a rush to get your taxes done!!!
If you had marketplace health insurance(ObamaCare) at ANY point in 2021 you will not be able to file your taxes without form 1095A. Your return will automatically reject!! Those forms will more than likely be available for most mid Feb.
Here are some other things to keep in mind before you file to avoid delays:
1 - Correct amount of 3rd stimulus, use IRS letter get both letters if married or pull IRS transcript 2021 Account Transcript
2 - Correct amount of advanced child tax credit payments, use IRS letter get both letters if married or pull IRS transcript 2021 Account Transcript
3 - Brokerage statements for stock and/or Crypto
4 - 1095A Health form (return will reject if not on it)
5 - You must disclose you got PPP forgiveness on your tax return!! I hope yall was being honest cuz this is going to hurt quite a few ppl
01/25/2022
π£π£π£π£ PPP loan forgiveness
In case you missed it!
Though for Federal purposes the income is not taxable the IRS is REQUIRING that you disclose it on your tax return regardless if the loan was forgiven or not.
I really hope yall wasn't out here creating PPP loan fraud. If you got PPP for $20K that would mean you had gross receipts of $100K!! I hope your 2020 or 2021 tax return will prove that out cuz the IRS and SBA are about to be besties and they will gather their data to compare and if it don't add up they gonna come for you!!
01/25/2022
π¨The forgiveness of a PPP Loan creates tax-exempt income, so although you donβt need to report the income from the forgiveness of your PPP Loan. You do need to report certain information related to your PPP Loan.
