On November 11, 2020, at approximately 11:55 a.m., an adult male victim was traveling northbound on I-35 at Clarendon Drive when he was approached by a suspect(s) driving what is believed to be a dark color car. The suspect, described as an adult Black male, exited his car armed with a firearm and began approaching the victim’s car. The victim exited his vehicle and began running southward on the freeway. The suspect chased the victim and fired multiple rounds striking him. In doing so, the suspect also struck an innocent bystander, an adult male, who was sitting in his vehicle. The first victim was transported to an area hospital where he died from his injuries. The second victim was also transported to an area hospital with injuries that do not appear to be life-threatening. The suspect remains at large. This incident will be documented on case number 201916-2020. The name of the deceased victim will not be released until pending next of kin notification.

It is with immeasurable grief that we confirm the passing of Chadwick Boseman.
Chadwick was diagnosed with stage III colon cancer in 2016, and battled with it these last 4 years as it progressed to stage IV.
A true fighter, Chadwick persevered through it all, and brought you many of the films you have come to love so much. From Marshall to Da 5 Bloods, August Wilson’s Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom and several more, all were filmed during and between countless surgeries and chemotherapy.
It was the honor of his career to bring King T’Challa to life in Black Panther.
He died in his home, with his wife and family by his side.

Democrats are looking to address organizational issues at the Postal Service in the coming weeks, not to provide additional funding at this time, according to sources familiar with the discussion.
One option would be to vote on a modified version of a bill introduced by House Oversight Chair Carolyn Maloney (D-N.Y.) earlier this week that would prohibit USPS from implementing a planned organizational overhaul that critics maintain would handicap mail-in voting.
Other top Democrats also floated addressing other issues, including expired federal unemployment benefits and voting rights. But Democratic sources said the immediate focus — at least for now — is preserving the Postal Service ahead of the election.
On Friday, Pelosi and Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) issued a scathing statement accusing President Donald Trump and Republicans of waging an “all-out assault on the Postal Service and its role in ensuring the integrity of the 2020 election.” Their statement came after Trump said he opposes a federal infusion of funds to save the flailing postal service because he doesn’t support mail-in voting.
“The President made plain that he will manipulate the operations of the Post Office to deny eligible voters the ballot in pursuit of his own re-election,” Pelosi and Schumer said. “The President’s own words confirm: he needs to cheat to win.”

Think about this, Derek Chauvin murdered George Floyd over an alleged counterfeit $20 bill, however Derek and his wife hadn’t paid taxes since 2014, failed to disclose $460,000 in income and owed the IRS more than $21,000.00.
The couple failed to file Minnesota income tax returns from 2016 through 2019 and fraudulently filed tax returns from 2014 to 2019, the prosector’s office said. The couple underreported filings by $464,433, including more than $95,000 that Derek Chauvin earned from off-duty security work, according to NPR.
According to the Washington Post they owe $38,000.00
“The complaints allege that the Chauvins knew of their obligation to file state income tax returns due to their filings in previous years and from multiple correspondences sent in 2019 by the department regarding their missing 2016 individual income tax return,” the district attorney’s statement said.
Revenue investigators began reviewing the Chauvins in June after a recorded jail house call between Chauvin and his wife revealed their attempt to file back taxes and hide assets
DALLAS – A man charged with capital murder is accused of sexually assaulting his grandmother and then beating her to death with a fire extinguisher at a home in Dallas, according to an arrest affidavit.
Police arrested Michael Robinson, 32, after officers responded to a home on Terry Street Saturday morning and found the victim, 71-year-old Irish Harrison, dead in her bedroom.
According to the affidavit, Robinson went to the home to visit his grandmother when he allegedly began sexually assaulting her and then punched and kicked her in the head and body.
The 32-year-old then struck her “several times” in the head with a fire extinguisher, which led to her death, according to the affidavit.

Police said witnesses went to the home Saturday morning and found Harrison dead and Robinson in the living room. Police soon arrived and arrested the suspect at the home.
Police said Robinson admitted to sexually assaulting and killing his grandmother. He was taken to jail and charged with capital murder.

DALLAS, Texas — A Dallas Police Department officer was arrested by Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) on charges for transportation of child pornography, the department announced today.
Dallas Police Department Senior Corporal Daniel Collins was arrested earlier today and booked into the Tarrant County Jail on the charge. He is awaiting his initial appearance in federal court.
Collins has been with the department since 2007. He is currently on administrative leave pending the outcome of an internal affairs administrative investigation, the department said.
No other information about the circumstances of Collins’ arrest was made available. His bail information was not available Friday. It is unclear whether he has an attorney.

Chicago Police Superintendent David Brown (formerly Dallas Police Chief) said his department had two squad cars and a full tactical team guarding a funeral Tuesday evening in Auburn-Gresham, but it wasn’t enough to prevent 15 people from being shot in a gun battle that officials said was the escalation of an ongoing gang conflict.
The mass shooting Tuesday outside of a funeral home in the 1000 block of West 79th Street left 15 people wounded, 10 women and five men. Chief of Detectives Brendan Deenihan said one victim was in “extremely critical condition” and another was in critical condition, with the rest of the wounded expected to recover.
The shooting started at about 6:30 pm Tuesday when a stolen black Chevrolet Malibu drove past the funeral and two people inside started shooting, Deenihan said at a Wednesday morning press conference. Members of the funeral party returned fire. In total, 60 shots were fired, according to police. The Malibu crashed during the shootout and the people inside fled.
Following the shooting, police took one “person of interest” into custody for questioning, but that individual was released Wednesday afternoon, according to police Officer Anthony Spicuzza, who did not say why the individual was let go and would only say that the investigation was ongoing.
Deenihan said they believe three people were inside the car that started the shooting, including two “shooters.”

WASHINGTON STATE - 19-year-old woman is now facing rape charges in Washington state after she was allegedly caught on a doorbell camera performing oral sex acts on two boys under the age of 10, reports say.
The Yakima Police Department told KVEW they were called to an apartment complex in the city Tuesday after a resident living there reported he had evidence of a sexual assault that happened outside his front door.
Police say the footage depicted a woman performing oral sex acts on two children, whom KOMO News reports were between the ages of 5 and 9.
The woman, who reportedly also lives at the complex, allegedly tried to run away before officers took her into custody.
She has now been booked into the Yakima County Jail on two counts of first-degree rape of a child and obstruction of a law enforcement officer, according to KVEW.
Her identity was not released, but police told the station that she was familiar with the victims.
