Philip Kingston on the Dallas City Council
What is Philip Kingston about as a councilmember? All you have to do is look at his record: He cannot be bought. He finds and prevents fraud, waste and abuse. He advocates for preservation. He tirelessly protects neighborhoods. Again and again, he stands up for the people of District 14.
We must have Philip Kingston back in office to continue this important work. Losing him would risk reversing years of progress on historic preservation, LGBT equality, and neighborhood self determination.

Chinese New Year is loud. I love it
You know what kids aren't good at anymore? Doing donuts in the parking lot. Actually I'm not any good at it either and my truck felt like it was going to tip over the whole time.
Anyway I can only assume that DISD intends to start teaching parking lot donuts to children because it has a plan to pave over Randall Park for temporary parking during a construction project at Woodrow Wilson High School. The plan only calls for cutting down a few trees.
There are three different areas on DISD property at this campus that could hold more temporary parking than the park, but DISD prefers to cut down your trees and pave over your park land.
The obvious answer for high school students if parking is temporarily difficult to come by is that they should ride the bus. So I guess it's some real cartoon villain logic that DISD just killed its bus service. MUAHHUHAHAHA!
