A Safe Haven Baby Box provides a safe, secure, and anonymous way for a parent in crisis to legally surrender a newborn. Once a baby is placed inside, emergency personnel are immediately notified and respond to provide care.

The S.H. 205 expansion project is now expected to begin on June 1, 2027.

GREAT NEWS FOR ROCKWALL COUNTY AND PRECINCT 3!

TxDOT has announced that it plans to move up the date for issuing the Contract to widen State Highway 205 (from South John King to the Kaufman County line) from November 1, 2028, to June 1, 2027 - nearly a year and a half sooner! Rockwall County has completed its portion of the work on the Highway 205 South Project, and I and others have been pressing TxDOT to move the construction date up due to the extreme traffic congestion on 205.

As recently as a couple weeks ago I had a meeting with NCTCOG Director of Transportation Michael Morris and asked if they could get TxDOT to expedite this project. I’m very grateful to Director Morris and TxDOT for recognizing the need for this change and working with Rockwall County to expedite the process.

I will let you know more when I hear more!
