💰 BUSINESS OWNERS: WHAT DOES THE TARIFF REFUND MEAN FOR YOU?

You may have heard about businesses receiving tariff refunds—but what does that actually mean?

If your business imported goods and directly paid certain tariffs imposed under the International Emergency Economic Powers Act (IEEPA), you may be eligible to recover those payments.

👉🏽 A few important points:
• This is NOT an automatic refund for every business.
• You generally must have been the Importer of Record or otherwise directly responsible for the eligible tariff payment.
• The refund applies to specific IEEPA tariffs—not every type of customs duty.
• Businesses should review their import records and documentation to determine eligibility.
• Refunds can affect your business cash flow and accounting records, so proper documentation is important.
