Parkland Hospital

On Saturday, May 19, Parkland care management staff volunteered at DME Exchange of Dallas. DME Exchange of Dallas is a non-profit organization that collects, refurbishes, sanitizes and distributes used durable medical equipment (DME) to residents of Dallas County who cannot afford to purchase or rent it. Parkland staff helped to clean, sanitize and inspect dozens of pieces of DME for distribution to patients who need them. Parkland volunteers cleaned, sanitized and inspected dozens of pieces of DME in time for distribution to patients who need them – saving the DME tech about 2-2 ½ months of work. Parkland has volunteered at DME Exchange of Dallas for the past few years.
