City of Dallas Office of Community Police Oversight Director and Police Monitor Michele Andre will be participating in a panel presentation titled “Power of Auditing and Monitoring — Proactive Oversight: Leveraging the Monitoring/Auditor Model for Law Enforcement Accountability” along with Mummi Ibrahim, Independent Policing Auditor, Arlington County, and Tobara Richardson, JD, CIG, CPO, Deputy Inspector General for Public Safety, City of Chicago Office of Inspector General. The panel will take place at 4:15 PM ET / 3:15 PM CT on the first day of the National Association for Civilian Oversight of Law Enforcement (NACOLE) Virtual Conference on September 23.

Join us for an engaging panel discussion on how civilian oversight practitioners can use the monitoring/auditor model to move beyond reactive investigations and toward proactive, impactful oversight. We will share practical strategies for conducting oversight through continuous monitoring, emphasizing the critical role this model may play when independent investigations are no longer viable in your jurisdiction. Whether you're new to oversight or seeking to enhance your agency's effectiveness, this session will equip you with the tools and perspective to strengthen accountability and make a meaningful difference.
