Mosaic is a safe haven for survivors of human rights abuses, including human trafficking and domestic violence.

Mosaic is a safe haven for survivors of human rights abuses, including refugees, and human trafficking and domestic violence survivors. Staff members speak more than 25 languages and represent dozens of cultures and every major faith. Mosaic was founded in 1993 by Dr. Walter Nguyen, a former refugee from Vietnam to assist struggling refugee families. Today, Mosaic is a comprehensive service provider, offering shelter, counseling, legal services, and support services to refugees and survivors of human trafficking and domestic violence.

💜 October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month 💜

At Mosaic Family Services, we support survivors as they work toward safety, healing, and independence. Help is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Our hotline advocates provide crisis intervention and safety planning for victims and anyone calling on their behalf.

We’re incredibly grateful to the Texas Women’s Foundation for a $35,000 investment in Mosaic House, our emergency shelter for survivors of domestic violence and human trafficking. This support is especially meaningful during Domestic Violence Awareness Month. Research shows that only 10–25% of survivors of family violence ever access services. When someone does reach out, having a safe place to turn can make all the difference.

We’re proud to be among so many incredible organizations serving our community. Congratulations to all of this year’s grant recipients, and thank you to Texas Women’s Foundation for investing in survivors and in the Dallas community.

Last week, Mosaic Family Services was honored to join Jones Day for the Start Anew Project kickoff lunch!

The Start Anew Project is an initiative dedicated to serving survivors of human trafficking, domestic violence, and sexual abuse. Across the country, the Start Anew Project will be holding one-day clinics offering survivors comprehensive assistance, including financial education and literacy programs, resume and interviewing workshops, job fairs and employment resources, and professional workwear.

We’re grateful to be part of this important initiative supporting survivors as they work toward greater independence and security.

We are deeply grateful for Texas Women’s Foundation’s support of Mosaic House, our emergency shelter for women and children fleeing domestic violence and human trafficking. This support helps ensure that families can continue to find safety, compassionate care, and a place to begin healing after experiencing trauma.
