Loaves & Fishes Food Pantry

Loaves & Fishes Food Pantry A three day supply of food is shared in a judgment free environment with love and respect to all who come for assistance.
If you or someone in need is unable to make it during those hours, please contact the Dalton United Methodist Church office at 413-684-0521. Arrangements will be made to meet your needs.

Recognizing that God has blessed us and expects us to be a blessing to others, the Loaves and Fishes food pantry serves as a vehicle to share the overwhelming abundance God has showered on us with those with need in our community. A three day supply of food is shared in a judgment free environment with love and respect to all who come for assistance. It is our intention that they receive not only food for their physical hunger, but generous portions of kindness and grace to feed and cover their spiritual and emotional hungers.

Mission: The Mission of the Loaves and Fishes food pantry is to respond to the words of Jesus and in this way serve as a reflection of God's love for us: "For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in." Matthew 25:35.

Thank you.

Food Safety Tip
Time-Temperature control is an important part of food safety for all perishable products. The temperature danger zone is between 41 and 135 degrees Fahrenheit.

This is the range where pathogens grow. The longer food stays in the temperature danger zone, the more time pathogens have to grow. This time is cumulative, meaning if you keep your food between 41 and 135 degrees for 2 hours and then refrigerate or reheat, if you want to keep it between 41 and 135 degrees again, you should only do so for 1 more hour.
*of note, most refrigerators are set between 40 and 41 degrees. Although, 42 degrees is a safe temperature for steady refrigeration.
