All I wanna say is THANK GOD for the caring hearts who stopped by to bless us with water!! Even those who are having water delivered....You know who you are and GOD knows who you are...too many to name. You are ALL appreciated and our guests and others in need truly appreciate your generosity. You have definitely made a difference!!

Right now, our essential supply levels are running critically low. We are reaching out to ask for your help in restocking our shelves so we can continue meeting the basic, daily needs of our guests. Today we’d like to recognize and thank Epic Health Partners in Danville, Virginia, for their dedication to serving our guests who are overcoming substance abuse challenges.

When Rita first arrived at our shelter, she was frightened, deeply distrustful of anyone trying to help her, and experiencing severe sundowning. Caring for someone with dementia requires an extra layer of patience and gentleness. Our incredible staff stepped up without hesitation to make sure she felt safe.

Our goal is always sustainable, long-term care. Thanks to some diligent detective work, we were able to locate Rita’s brother, who holds her power of attorney. Working hand-in-hand with him, our team navigated the placement process to transition Rita into a nursing facility where she can receive the around-the-clock support she truly needs. We are so incredibly grateful to have played a part in bringing Rita back to safety and her family peace of mind.
