Seen too much confusion about the panthers in regards to oppressed people so let us be very clear. We have ALWAYS stood against the oppression of ALL people not only black people. The oppression of one group doesn’t end with them, our oppression is linked to the oppression of people all over the world and we cannot be free if everyone is not free. All power to all people ✊🏽

All of the debate and discourse around what Huey Newton and the Black Panther Party stood for is pointless considering that Huey Newton left behind writings which laid out his ideology. He was an internationalist who saw the struggle of Black people in America as being connected to the struggles of oppressed people around the world. This included offering to send troops to Vietnam to help the Vietnamese fight American imperialism.
