Milley tells cadets what it takes to be winners

"Winning is not a sometime thing; it's an all-the-time thing. You don't win once in a while; you don't do things right once in a while; you do them right all of the time. Winning is a habit. Unfortunately, so is losing. There is no room for second place. There is only one place in my game, and that's first place." - General Milley

Clearly dating himself, Gen. Mark A. Milley told 300 ROTC and U.S. Military Academy at West Point, N.Y., cadets, March 31, that his childhood hero was Green Bay Packers' winning football coach, Vince Lombardi.

Spending Christmas Eve Giving Back to Those who Need it Most

Having fun, eating, sleeping, last minute shopping, dashing to wrap the last of the presents, preparing to see Santa appear, everyone is doing something this Christmas Eve in preparation for Christmas Day. But in the midst of everything that is going on, let us not forget that not everyone is spending their Christmas Eve with family, friends, coworkers, colleagues, etc. Some are spending their Christmas Eve giving back to the community. Giving to those who are less fortunate or who cannot have a "normal" Christmas experience. Sharing, caring, happiness, love, and peace, is what this holiday is about, is it not?

Are you volunteering during the holidays? Are you hanging out with family? Taking a trip to see friends? What are you doing this Christmas Eve or doing today in preparation for Christmas Day tomorrow? Share your story with us!

It’s the season for giving and people across the CSRA are taking this chance to give back to those who need it most. Whether it’s serving up food, clothes or toys, there are several groups spending...

From the BCU Army ROTC program, as Christmas Day approaches faster and faster every day, Merry Christmas to you and your family near and far. We also encourage you to extend a lending hand to someone in need during the Holidays. Volunteer at your local soup kitchen, help at the local Toys for Tots location, write a letter or send a care package to a soldier who wasn't able to make it home for Christmas. Spread the love and cheer during this Christmas. And in all that you do, have fun, be safe, and have a happy holidays! Merry Christmas!

We are already a month into the new year. We have already started classes, PT, labs, and for some, jobs, etc., and have gotten back into our normal routine for school all over again. We from the Bethune-Cookman Army ROTC encourage you to do great things this year. RIGHT NOW is the perfect time to change not only ourselves but the things around you for the better. No-one knows for sure what will happen this year, but what we DO know, is that we can turn this year into an awesome one. Filled with legendary stories that may be put into a book one day for some. And others, a story to tell their future or present children. Strike hard, strike fast, and always fight down to the last. Make this year, the best year of your entire life. Do not forget your ethos, your values, to stay motivated, nor should you forget to help someone else along the way. Do well this year cadets and students and make this year legendary. Hail Wildcats.
