"Not Your Mama's Stuff" liquidation sale is preparing new inventory and will open Saturday and Sunday 9am-1pm. It is more like a tag sale than an estate sale.

Joined my Pelican Bay Woman's Club for a final summer lunch gathering. The food at Flames Restaurant located in the Daytona Hotel in Daytona One Experience across from the speedway, was interesting and very good. One item is a Philly Cheese Sandwich. Comes in a tool 🧰.
On my way out the cars were parading out of the area so I snapped a few pics.

Ways we are honoring seniors:
Call and visit an older person in person.
Help with chores like yard work, cooking, shopping.
Ask the person to share stories, life lessons, or family history.
Volunteer at a local senior center or senior living community.

Cathy, the owner of Caring Seniors Solutions visited "Bob" who is 92 years young and living in a residential assisted living home. I called one of his adult children from out of state so they could talk about what he was thinking at that moment. He was remembering a fall which knocked out several teeth. (this was a story from a long ago).
As soon as any conversation ends of late, Bob falls back into a deep sleep. I can only imagine what he thinks about after each meaningful conversation. When awake, he smiles, remembered me but sadly getting more confused.
I brought Kings Donut treats (from South Daytona) for the residents to enjoy. I greeted the other residents, and then left.
The morning was filled with a few tasks before going back to the office.
Loaded up the car and dropped off some new vintage inventory items to our storage area so it's closer to one of the new estate sale locations
Loaded up the car with donations and dropped off to a Port Orange location.
Answered several calls from other senior citizens. Communicated contact information for one couple, with our reverse mortgage expert to get details about the program for a potential solution. Spoke to them about potentially selling and moving into senior living as another potential solution. Schedule another consultation to talk about options for another senior. Followed up with another 90 year old client to setup additional senior living tours for next week, and to check in on if her and her friends wanted lunch delivered for Hand in Foot Game today.
The rest of the day was planning for estate sale activities.
Overall I think a productive "caring" day celebrating our seniors.
