Day 2: Keep Your Money! BLACKOUT Black Friday
here’s your mission-
✔️ Delete and log out of shopping apps
✔️ DON’T spend at Target, Home Depot, and Amazon
✔️ Buy from Black-owned, Immigrant-owned, Queer-owned, POC-owned businesses
✔️ Give the money you would have spent on things you don’t actually need to charities.

Rethinking our shopping, spending, and holiday habits is part of the goal. We have been taught to be consumers and to keep lining the pockets of big corporations. Be mindful of where and how you spend. This is meant to be the a mindset shift, not just a couple days of action.

Think before you shop and buy.

A few days ago, I shared a call to action on my personal page and in some Veteran chats. A local food bank that also serves as a school resource center needed help, and I asked our community to step up.

Today, the first bags are already coming in and from someone who doesn’t even live in our city!

That’s what community is all about. It’s the power of people coming together, showing compassion, and proving that we are truly indivisible.

Thank you to everyone who has answered the call so far, especially our friends at CFL BIPOC Indivisible . Let’s keep this energy going and continue making a difference together. 🙌
