This week, thanks to our amazing community and business partners we had the chance to host an incredible I Belong Project® Day — a day designed to help children waiting for adoptive families feel seen, known, celebrated, and loved.

While these days help us capture the videos and photos that will be used to advocate for each child, the impact goes so much deeper. For many of these kids, it’s an opportunity to simply be a kid, make memories, explore new experiences, and be surrounded by others who believe they matter.

To our incredible community partners, volunteers, sponsors, and supporters - THANK YOU! Your generosity helped create a day these children won’t soon forget.

Because of you, children who have experienced loss, uncertainty, and hardship were reminded that they are worthy of love, belonging, and a bright future.

Our I Belong Project® days were created to not only capture the stories and videos of children in need of a family - because of incredible community partners, we are able to also use these days to ensure every child leaves feeling seen, known, and supported!

We recently had the opportunity to partner with to help make an incredible young man’s dream of become a Nissan car salesman more of a reality. 🚗

When our team heard about his love for cars, we reached out to at a who immediately said YES to helping make his day extra special!

Derrick and his team surprised him by driving his favorite Nissan vehicle to a recent video shoot and his face lit up the moment he saw it!

Because of their willingness to use their time and resources - a deserving young boy was able to explore his dream car, ask questions, make a sales pitch to our team (which was really hard to turn down!), and dream about what his future could look like.

He left feeling not only seen and heard that day, but ultimately left with a heart full of hope because a community reminded him that he did indeed BELONG no matter where his future leads.

Thank you to and for taking the time to help this young man feel seen and to every volunteer and partner who uses their gifts and resources to do the same!

Every moment matters and it is because of YOUR INVESTMENT we are able to impact the overall outcomes and experiences of children in foster care each and every day!

We know you’ve been seeing a lot of Foster Friendly® Community Kick-Offs this month… and honestly? We love that. 💙

In just the month of May, we’ve already celebrated THREE communities across Tennessee choosing to show up for children and families impacted by foster care — and now, Cordova is next.

On May 27 at 10AM, we’re gathering local businesses, faith communities, leaders, and neighbors to officially launch Foster Friendly Cordova — a movement focused on surrounding foster families with practical support and helping children experience stability, connection, and belonging.

When communities become Foster Friendly®, families feel less isolated, children can stay connected to the people and places they know, and more families are able to continue saying “yes” to fostering and adoption.

Whether you’re a business owner, community leader, foster parent, or someone who simply wants to make a difference — you have a role to play.

What a beautiful day in DeKalb County 💙

At the beginning of May community members, local leaders, businesses, faith communities, and families came together to officially celebrate the kick-off of Foster Friendly® DeKalb County - and it was a powerful reminder that when communities show up together, children and families impacted by foster care feel it. From conversations and connection to fun activities and community support, this kickoff wasn’t just an event… it was a picture of what belonging can look like.

Becoming a Foster Friendly® Community means more than awareness alone. It means creating a place where foster families feel supported, where children experience greater stability and connection, and where more people understand they can play a role in helping kids belong.

Thank you to everyone who attended, partnered, volunteered, and helped make this community day so special. We’re excited for what’s ahead in DeKalb County!
