As National Police Week comes to a close and we recognize Peace Officers Memorial Day, we remember all those who made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty.

Earlier this week, we held our 6th Annual Fallen GBI Agent Memorial Service to honor the brave agents who gave their lives in service to the people of Georgia. We were honored to have family members of one of our fallen agents in attendance.

The GBI remembers the following fallen agents:

Garland E. Fields
Welton L. Harrel
Benjamin L. Sentell
Larry P. Collins
Frank M. Ellerbee
John T. “Sonny” King, III
Robert M. Kirk
William L. Deloach
Troy L. Pierce, Sr.

We are forever grateful to all who serve, and we will never forget those who laid down their lives to protect others.
