Due to the death of Macon County Board Member Bill Oliver there now exists a vacancy on the Macon County Board from District 1. It is the responsibility of the precinct committeepersons in District 1 to name someone who's name can be submitted to the County Board Chairman for appointment until November 30th AND to name someone to the Ballot in November for the remaining two years of Mr. Oliver's unexpired term.
In order to be eligible for appointment and election any interested person must be a resident of District 1 and a Democrat. The precincts comprising District 1 are: Decatur 1, 2. 3, 5, 10,15, 17, 18, 20, and 23.
