I want to thank all the departments and volunteers who came out to assist the Newton County Sheriff’s office yesterday regarding the incident that occurred on Highway 494. The injured Deputy will have to have surgery on his shoulder, but all things considered he is very blessed,it could’ve been a whole lot worse. The working relationships with the surrounding counties and state agencies is unbelievable, not one person hesitated to come help and we are truly grateful. Please keep the injured Deputy, in your prayers for a complete and speedy recovery.
