We are excited to share an important message and call to action from our National Chair, Dr. A. Lois Keith, regarding the continued growth and support of the President’s Circle initiative across our beloved organization.

As we prepare for our upcoming National Convention in Atlanta, the Georgia State Coalition has established an impactful goal to secure 90 President’s Circle supporters throughout the state of Georgia in honor of NCNW’s 90 years of legacy, leadership, and service.

This initiative is an opportunity for each of us to help strengthen the work of NCNW while leaving a lasting impact for generations to come. We are asking each Community Section to join us in this statewide effort by identifying and encouraging Sisters and supporters to become members of the President’s Circle before Convention.

Together, we can demonstrate the power of Georgia and our collective commitment to the mission of NCNW.

NFAS Sisters proudly conducted engaging STEAM activities for 98 students, who rotated through interactive learning stations focused on viruses, antibodies, and how vaccines help protect the body. In addition, 68 1st graders participated in oral health education sessions and screenings through the Colgate Bright Smiles, Bright Futures Mobile Van. We are happy to report lots of healthy teeth and bright smiles!

This initiative reflects our continued commitment to STEAM education, health equity, and community impact.

🌟💜 This Women’s History Month, the Georgia State Coalition of NCNW proudly celebrates the trailblazing women who have made a lasting impact on our community. We would be remiss if we did not honor the founder of NCNW, Dr. Mary McLeod Bethune. She founded what is now Bethune – Cookman University in 1904. She was an advisor to President Franklin D Roosevelt and she created NCNW in 1935. We honor her contributions, the legacy she continues to build, and HERstory. Because of her, we will continue to lead, advocate and empower women of African-American descent, their families and their communities.

🌟💜 This Women’s History Month, the Georgia State Coalition of NCNW proudly celebrates the trailblazing women who have made a lasting impact on our community. As we close out the month, we want to recognize two outstanding women. The first one is Sherlie Chisholm. She was the first black woman elected to the United States Congress in 1968. She was also the first black woman to seek a major party’s nomination for President. We honor her contributions to American politics, the legacy she continues to build, and HERstory.
