I just want to say thank you to our Chief Grizzle and his crew in the Decatur police department. They put their lives on the line every day to protect us and our family’s in Decatur. Often they are seen as a nuisance because you seeing them pulling cars over. They are doing their jobs keeping Decatur safe place to live. They give more warnings than they do tickets. I as Mayor will continue to support them and do everything in my power to continue to get them the tools they need keep Decatur a safe place to live. Thank you Decatur police department.

The Decatur Swimming Pool will be open for the summer this coming Tuesday June 2nd!

And like the past few years, we have some amazing local businesses and individuals who have made sponsorships towards the pool to keep it FREE for everyone throughout the summer!

We hope everyone has a wonderful time this summer while you enjoy the pool and the city park! The city park also has a basketball 🏀 court, horseshoe 🧲 pits, pickleball courts, swing set, slide and other playground equipment, as well as a BBQ grill for picnic 🧺, make plans to stop by!

The Decatur Arkansas Chamber of Commerce will also be planning a BBQ day to be handing out free drinks and hotdogs here in a few weeks, be sure to follow our page to see when!
