Today we remember the courage, sacrifice and determination of the Greatest Generation.

On June 6, 1944, thousands of American servicemen stormed the beaches of Normandy to liberate Europe from tyranny. Many never made it home. Their bravery changed the course of history and secured the freedoms we enjoy today.

As we commemorate D-Day, let us honor those heroes not only with our words but by remaining vigilant in defending the principles they fought for: faith, freedom, self government and the enduring promise of America.

We owe them a debt that can never be repaid but must never be forgotten.

May God bless our veterans, our military and the United States of America.

It was an honor to join the community in Hebron/Leroy today at Stony Run Park to remember and pay tribute to the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our country. Today, we pause to remember the brave men and women who paid the ultimate sacrifice defending our freedoms.

Their courage secured the liberties we enjoy every day. Their sacrifice reminds us that freedom is never free.

As we gather with family and friends this Memorial Day weekend, let us also take time to honor our fallen heroes, support our veterans, and remember the Gold Star families who carry that sacrifice forever.
