Water service has been temporarily shut off in the Singletree to Cherry Mound area due to a repair.

Once service is restored, you may experience air in your lines and some temporary discoloration as crews flush the system. This is normal and should clear up after running your water for a few minutes.

11/26/2025

Update as of 5:45: Pressure issue has been resolved.

We wanted to let you know that you may experience low water pressure and possibly discolored or dirty water over the next day or two. A repair crew is currently on the way and is estimated to arrive in about 3 hours.

During this time, please conserve water as much as possible to help reduce strain on the system and support the repair process.

We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work to resolve the issue as quickly as possible.

Update: Water service has been restored. We are currently flushing lines in the affected area.

Water service is currently shut off from Choctaw Creek to Cherry Mound due to a line break. Our crew is on site and repairs are in progress. We will restore service as soon as possible. Thank you for your patience.

Update as of 4:00 PM: The issue has been resolved so there is no longer a need to restrict water usage. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

Please conserve or restrict water usage until further notice.

During a water leak repair, electricity to one of our pump houses was inadvertently knocked out. Our water storage tanks are full and one pump remains fully operational.
We are closely monitoring the situation and do not anticipate any immediate impact to service. However, we are taking all necessary precautions to ensure uninterrupted water supply and will provide updates if anything changes.

FYI, if you have no water, low pressure, or dirty water, there was a line break on 120. We are working on getting it fixed now.

Someone recently dropped off a cash payment at our office, but unfortunately, it was left without a name or account information.

If you believe this was your payment, please contact us at 903-465-6403. To verify, we’ll need to know:

-The exact amount of the payment

-The type of bank envelope it was in (name of the bank or any unique markings)

Thank you!

Free Chlorine Conversion Starting April 14, 2025

To protect public health all public water systems in the State of Texas are required to disinfect drinking water before providing it to customers. Many use chloramine (free chlorine and ammonia), an effective disinfectant that persists over a long period of time, making it particularly valuable in areas with high temperatures.

A water system that uses chloramine may sometimes employ a free-chlorine conversion, removing ammonia from the treatment process, disinfecting the water only with free chlorine. This common practice is used as preventive maintenance to kill bacteria that, though harmless when consumed by humans, can introduce unwanted taste and odor.

The City of Denison will be performing a Free Chlorine conversion starting April 14 and will conclude on May 12, 2025.

Oak Ridge South Gale purchases water from the City of Denison so customers may experience taste and odor changes associated with this type of temporary disinfectant conversion. A temporary conversion to free chlorine, partnered with flushing activities, helps to rid distribution pipes of this organic matter and improve the quality of your water overall.
