We’re excited to share that the Denmark Community Summer Reading Program received a $1,000 Spark Good local grant from our local Walmart! This grant will help us purchase prizes and plan our events for the 2026 summer reading program. We are proud to spark good in our community!

🎉 **What a Summer, Denmark!** 🎉

Yesterday, we wrapped up the **final event** of the 2025 Denmark Community Summer Reading Program — and WOW, what an incredible journey it’s been!

📚 **269 local kids** dove into reading adventures all summer long, racking up an amazing **12,090+ reading activities**! That’s thousands of stories explored, new words discovered, and imaginations ignited.

To celebrate, we gave away some **EPIC grand prizes** — including **two scooters**, an **instant camera**, **two awesome book sets**, a **mini fridge**, a **bounce house**, and even a pair of **AirPods**! 🚴📸🎧📚

And yes... we kept our promise! 😅 Any student who attended **all 3 events** earned the right to launch a water balloon at us — and **66 students** gleefully took their shot! 💦💥

We couldn’t be prouder of the Denmark community for showing up, reading with your kids, and making this summer one for the books. Thank you for making literacy fun, joyful, and truly unforgettable.

📚 Denmark Elementary Open House – Tomorrow! 🎉
Wednesday, August 27th | 4:00–5:30 PM

We’re so excited to see you at our Open House tomorrow! We'll be set up a little early, so feel free to stop by before the event officially starts. (We will be set up outside by the main office doors.)

Just a quick reminder—our **July event is this Thursday, July 31st**, and we can’t wait to see you there!

🌟 **Reading Log Trade-In:**
Stop by between **4:30 PM-8:00 PM** to trade in your reading log for a prize. We’ve stocked up with even more prizes this month so no one misses out!

🎬 **Outdoor Movie:**
The movie will begin at sunset (around 8:30 PM)— bring a blanket or chair and get comfy!

🍿 **Snacks & Treats:**
Thanks to Hardware Hank there will be FREE popcorn available for everyone! We’ll also have refreshments for sale.
