With the primary election just weeks away, I wanted to make one final post about what I believe a County Judge Executive should be.
To me, that standard was set by two men I had the privilege of watching growing up, Henry Ratliff and J.D. Trimble.
They didn’t just do their jobs they went above and beyond for the people of this county.
I remember Henry helping families in need by getting water meters set and running city water from Old State Road down 746. That wasn’t just work that was caring about people. I also remember him bringing fruit baskets and cream candy around when I was a kid. That kind of kindness sticks with you.
And J.D. was the same way. I watched him go out and help anyone he could. I even saw him pay two boys out of his own pocket to cut trees off someone’s house and clear driveways. He didn’t have to do that he chose to.
I’m sure the list of good these two men have done goes on and on, but that’s what leadership looks like to me someone willing to step up, go the extra mile, and truly care about their community.
I didn’t get to know every Judge Executive the same way I knew them, but I do know this our county deserves someone who will listen, who will show up, and who will do everything they can to help.
If I’m elected, I promise to do just that. I will work hard to bring what our county deserves, and I will stand up in Frankfort to make sure we are not overlooked just because we are a smaller county. Being smaller doesn’t mean we deserve any less.
I want to serve this county with heart in a way that people can feel, not just see.
I know times have changed and a judge is limited on what he can do but I'll do everything I can for the people of Menifee county.
I would appreciate your support.
