With the primary election just weeks away, I wanted to make one final post about what I believe a County Judge Executive should be.

To me, that standard was set by two men I had the privilege of watching growing up, Henry Ratliff and J.D. Trimble.

They didn’t just do their jobs they went above and beyond for the people of this county.

I remember Henry helping families in need by getting water meters set and running city water from Old State Road down 746. That wasn’t just work that was caring about people. I also remember him bringing fruit baskets and cream candy around when I was a kid. That kind of kindness sticks with you.

And J.D. was the same way. I watched him go out and help anyone he could. I even saw him pay two boys out of his own pocket to cut trees off someone’s house and clear driveways. He didn’t have to do that he chose to.

I’m sure the list of good these two men have done goes on and on, but that’s what leadership looks like to me someone willing to step up, go the extra mile, and truly care about their community.

I didn’t get to know every Judge Executive the same way I knew them, but I do know this our county deserves someone who will listen, who will show up, and who will do everything they can to help.

If I’m elected, I promise to do just that. I will work hard to bring what our county deserves, and I will stand up in Frankfort to make sure we are not overlooked just because we are a smaller county. Being smaller doesn’t mean we deserve any less.

I want to serve this county with heart in a way that people can feel, not just see.

I know times have changed and a judge is limited on what he can do but I'll do everything I can for the people of Menifee county.

I would appreciate your support.

I believe most of us can agree on one thing Menifee County deserves better roads.

Our county receives money each year to blacktop county roads, yet many of our roads are still waiting for improvements. I’ve spent a lot of time thinking about how we can do better with the resources we already have.

My plan is simple:
When I am elected Menifee County Judge Executive, I will work toward securing funding for Menifee County to purchase our own blacktop equipment and machinery.

By doing the work ourselves instead of contracting it out, we could:
• Blacktop more than twice as many roads each year
• Stretch our tax dollars further
• Create good local jobs for people in our county
• Improve the safety and quality of travel for our families

This is about working smarter with the money we already receive and making sure the people of Menifee County see real results.

Together, we can build stronger roads and a stronger Menifee County.

I’m going door to door around Menifee County to visit with folks and listen. I want to hear what’s on your mind, what you think could be better, and what you want for our community.

This isn’t about fancy politics it’s about neighbor-to-neighbor conversation and doing things the right way. I believe we’re called to listen to one another, treat folks with respect, and take care of the place God has blessed us with.

If I stop by, I’d appreciate a few minutes of your time. If I miss you I look forward to meeting you down the road. Menifee County is home, and with faith, hard work, and listening to one another, we can keep it strong.

Merry Christmas everyone!

This Christmas season has me doing a lot of reflecting. This year has been full of blessings for me. It started with going to church and giving my life to the Lord, and not long after that my wife and daughter gave their lives to the Lord as well.

God has truly changed my life in ways I never imagined, and I’m beyond grateful for the growth, love, and direction He’s brought into our family this year. I know I’m not perfect, but I’m thankful for His grace and the path He’s set before us.

Wishing everyone a Merry Christmas filled with faith, love, family, and gratitude.

Menifee County is a small community, and our small-town atmosphere is something worth protecting. At the same time, we must make sure we are creating opportunities that keep jobs right here at home and support the businesses already operating in our county. Helping local businesses grow is just as important as attracting new ones.

Our current industrial park is out of room, which shows there is interest in doing business in Menifee County. To continue supporting local jobs, we should explore purchasing additional land to expand the existing park. If that is not possible, we should also consider the option of developing another industrial park.

Any responsible growth must include proper planning for water and sewer infrastructure to ensure future businesses can operate successfully. When people of Menifee County can work closer to home, it strengthens our local economy and helps bring additional revenue back into our community.

I’m on the outside looking in, but these are the kinds of plans and conversations I believe are important for the future of Menifee County.
